Skill Cards Compilation

So here's the skill cards compilation (quick & dirty style) for those interested to take a peek at the skills available and maybe plan ahead of the cards they want to get.

MFO Pet List (Sort & Filter Excel file)

Hi all, I've taken 3 days to create this list so you can enjoy the privilege of viewing, sorting and filtering the pets in MF according to your needs. I used this file to create the comparison chart from the previous post. Some examples of what you can do with this file:

* Sort pets according to gender (male/female/male exclusive/female exclusive)
* Sort pets according to strongest/weakest stats (Crit/L.Atk/D.Atk/L.Def/D.Def/HP/SP)
* Filter pets according to generations.
* Filter pets according to 'how to obtain'.

And many more...

What this file lack of, however, are the images, talents, attack elements and descriptions. You may modify and update the file if you wish. I will update it if possible.

Here is the link to download the file.

Starter Pet Comparison Chart

So I've taken 2 days to compile the list of all pets and their stats and it's done now, complete with Pet ID, Name, Type, Crit, L.Atk, D.Atk, L.Def, D.Def, HP, SP and ways to get them. There are missing components though, which I will update in future. They are Images, Element, Description and Talents.

Here is just a taste of what my complete list could do, where I just took starter pets and compare them, it might give you a clearer picture of what you want and expect.

End of CBT!

The CBT ended 13 minutes ago, and I was lucky to hit for a run to level 30 earlier this morning. It was fun. I even managed to get my Phantom Mushroom from lv1 to lv12 within an hour or so just for the earlier quests flashback. In the last 10 minutes, I bought myself a 3rd pet, the Kiwi Bird, and realized that it doesn't have evolved form. With that knowledge I now know that not all pets have evolved form, and have to carefully determine which pets that's going to be my core, and 2 subs. I'll try to level a core first, and level 2 subs from level 1 together so I don't need to revisit all the places and npcs again, although I'll need to do the same quests twice. Yeah, I'll level slower, but probably more beneficial in the long run, since I can have 3 pets all specialized in different types of battles. 1st pet is for grinding, 2nd pet is for pvp, 3rd pet is for boss, something like that. Talents play really important roles in these since they are inherited uniquely to different pets.

I'm going to study all the pets and cards which I've captured with screenshots and categorizes them so I can see more clearly all pets and cards pros and cons.

So, that's all for CBT now, and hopefully I'll update with a guide soon before OBT. Ciao!~

I got recruited into Affinity guild today

SGVash accepted my application to join Affinity today! Having a guild certainly makes gameplay more fun as you can chat with guild members while questing or farming!

I've also made a siggy for myself in the forum lol, it looks funny though...

Why Secruoser of Taurus play Monster Forest!

This is me with my brand new Prada coat and hat!

Let's see, it's been a long time since I last played an MMO but one day, Asiasoft sends a CBT code of Monster Forest to my email. I rarely check that email account, but I happened to check it one day after Asiasoft's email about the CBT. Well I was boring and feeling curious I clicked on the link to check it out. I visited the official site and it seems to be just another MMO to me. However, I did some reading about the game and it revealed to me that MF is quite different from all the MMOs I've known before (perhaps I haven't played enough MMOs), but catching pets and keeping farms sound really interesting!

So I went to Youtube and did a little search, it seems that MF is already up and running in China, Vietnam and Thailand. From the comments in Youtube, the game looks promising and positive to say the least. Since I have some free time to spare, I've decided to download the client and give it a try. The client was quite intimidating, posing over 1GB for my not-so-fast internet connection. I downloaded in parts over a couple of days and finally installed it. I was worried that my laptop couldn't run the game because it was old and the game's minimal requirement is quite high for my laptop. Nevertheless, I waited for the CBT.

In the mean time, I found myself attracted to the game very much by its cutesy graphics, farming feature, fashions, ability cards and pets. I created a blog specifically just for the game and my experience with it. It's going to be a blog where I post my updates in the game. I also joined the forum to share and learn information from all the members and moderators there. While waiting for CBT, I get myself familiar with it in the forum, from the videos posted in Youtube and from the official site.

Let me elaborate about its features:
1) Pets
There are so many pets to choose from! You get to own one by default as you start the game, or you can catch other pets as you progress in the game. There are 8 types of pets: Insects, Beasts, Aquatics, Dragons, Plants, Humans, Robots and Demons. My favorite is the Aquatics type. Why? I like it because very little other players like it! They usually like 'glamourous' classes like Dragons, Humans or Robots. I myself dislike overused classes.

You can grow your pet, feed it, mate it with opposite gender to create new breed, make it a home called 'dormitory' in your farm, equip it with different skill cards for battle purposes and even evolve it! Evolving a pet will need certain requirements. An evolved pet is stronger and has more access to more talents! Talent is a feature which comes together with a pet. By equipping pet with skill cards that further complements a pet's talent, you can make it very powerful!

2) Miniland
Miniland is your very own farm in the game, where you can grow your own crops, from corns to coffee beans, and rear livestocks such as chicken, cow, pig, etc! You get to build structures and use tractors just like managing a real farm! Isn't that fun?? You can also decorate your farm with various items such as light post, post box, wooden cart and many more! I myself got a lot of such items just by hunting monsters during quests! These items are not only for decoration, as they help increase your farm's Popularity where more NPCs will pay visit to your farm. Why you want them to visit? Because you can open your own Cafe! You will get recipes for food and drinks where you can produce them using recipe items and sell them at your Cafe or feed them to your pet. More business means more Prestige points, and higher level NPCs will visit your farm and reward you with better items! The Miniland surely provides a breath of fresh air once you're bored of hitting and killing monsters!

3) Fashion
You can decorate your character with the latest fashions with loads of clothes and accessories to choose from! Just look at my screenshot!

4) Others
The game also has 'Bot-Detector' function, which I like. It helps to prevent botting players to hack and cheat by afk farming. Botting defeats the purpose of MMO, because you don't socialize!!!

Monster and boss instances also help to reduce the lag since your map isn't flooded with mobs but instead you're instanced when fighting monsters/bosses.

There are also mining maps where you can dig up treasures!

There are so many other interesting features in the game. For example, you can 'Invest' your currency and claim it later and get returns from your 'investment'.

So what are you waiting for? You can view the posts in my blog to get to know more about this game! Give this game a try! Visit http://mf.playpark.net now!
